Proxmire is a self-identified "plain" gal, versatile and perfect for many kinds of background roles.  She stands at 5'7, 160 lbs, with healthy brown hair, skin that has been mainly free of makeup and chemicals, and a healthy curvy figure.  She's worked from dawn to dusk as an extra and enjoys keeping others around her in good spirits - even on those long hard days of filming.

As the movie industry expands in Michigan, the need for actors in small roles and extra roles is increasing.  Crystal A. Proxmire is a reliable, hard-working extra/actor with a sincere love for the craft.  Proxmire may be new to the business, but she has benefited from taking film, photograph, speech and other classes in college.  She produced several short films for her class and also wrote and produced two short plays when she was younger for her school.  It's an area that she hopes to gain more experience in and is grateful for any opportunities in acting, extra work, grip work, writing and other film/TV crew appearances.  E mail editor@muskegon115.com with any opportunities.




RADIO AND PUBLIC SPEAKING EXPERIENCE:

In 2005 Proxmire appeared on the Wavelength radio show in Muskegon, MI to talk about her online paper and the writers' group that she moderated.  Click here to listen.  (15 minutes).  That year she also did radio interviews on several other radio stations in the area to help promote her Muskegon 115 newspaper.

Proxmire is now a member of the Speakers' Bureau at Affirmations and has spoken to students about LGBT issues and Transgender 101.

Prayers for Bobby, filmed July 2008, extra - information booth operator at the scene of a Pride Parade for this Lifetime movie starring Sigourney Weaver.

The Prince of the Motor City, filmed July 2008, extra - funeral attendee for the first episode of the new ABC series featuring Andie McDowell, Aiden Quinn and others.

Whip It, filmed August 2008, directed by Drew Barrymore - roller derby attendee for feature film featuring Drew Barrymore, Colin Farrell, Eve and Juliette Lewis.
