Muskegon 115 Quarterly

Muskegon 115 will be launching a quarterly magazine later this year with the aim of "Encouraging Self-Actualization and Sharing the Stories of Humanity."  We're hoping to bring together people from all fields and interests who have the same goal in mind:  living up to their potential and creating a world where other people are free, in fact encouraged, to live up to theirs.

The premise of the magazine is to unite those of us who want better for humanity.  Although we aim to show a variety of human experiences and beliefs, the magazine is inspired by the character John Galt in Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged.  Galt searched the world for the strong individuals who fought to rise above the ignorant, consumer-driven masses and collected them in his own utopia.  Though very unrealistic, it is a happy dream for many of us who see so many humans wasting their lives, destroying the earth, and hiding from their own true potential.

Whether you call it self-actualization, enlightenment, or evolution - humans were designed for greatness.  Our goal is to create a magazine that is a tool for those who do want to evolve and change the world.

SUBMISSION INFO:

For our premiere issue we are looking for essays and stories that will teach or inspire others.   I'll read submissions on any topic, but I would really love to get some of these topics covered:

Money - any good views about the failings of consumerism or the control of big businesses.  How can we break free of our roles as consumer sheep.

Self-Help -  What tools do intelligent people who are trying to better themselves need?  Anything from survival skills, to people skills, to increasing awareness/intelligence/tolerance to learning to be good advocates.  Learning to stand up for themselves, learning to build community or even practical things like how to save money or how to avoid other life problems etc.  Anything you think would be helpful to people.

Inspiration - articles about people doing great things, working interesting jobs, overcoming challenges etc.

Autism

Different perspectives on the mental health industry

Health - alternative healing, general health, and articles that teach people how to care for themselves apart from the drug-influenced medical practice

Success - how to succeed in business, life, etc.  Different perspectives on what success is, tips for networking etc.

Interviews - we will interview people with unique stories.  Send us your suggestions and contact info if you have a story our readers can learn from.

At this time I cannot pay for content, but this is a great opportunity to have your views - and your name and your group/business - shared with many others who aim for the best in life.  This is a high-quality magazine and only a handful of the best articles will be accepted, and I am planning on having the back issues available well into the future.  That way when my publishing company really takes off you can say you were here right at the beginning!

Share your views with others who are making a difference.  Submit your essay/article/blog today.
